The inspection before the failure
Forensic practice begins after something has gone wrong. The Guide applies the same discipline in the opposite direction: examining ordinary professional work through the questions that will be asked if its origin, verification, or approval is later disputed.
Disclosure
The author may provide continuing-education instruction and implementation consulting to architecture firms on the subject matter of the Guide. The Guide is published without charge, and conformance requires retention of no consultant.
